Anthony ‘Liba’ Amon, and Samaita Zindi with talented younger members

Joshua Penga, Farai Kazembe, Jeffrey J, Farai Sithole, Rootsman Solo

Spice, and Emmanuel Mannex Motsi.

Formed in 1988, Transit Crew was one of the first bands to make an

impact on Zimbabwe’s local reggae scene.  Over the course of their

twenty-year history, Transit Crew has performed in Zimbabwe, South

Africa, and Japan, alongside internationally renowned artists

including Culture, Dennis Brown, Ijahman Levi, Eric Donaldson, Misty

In Roots, and Lucky Dube.

Transit Crew’s latest release, “Unity,” features a variety of guest

artists, including hot new talents Hope Masike and Carmen Hwiriri on

the local press, “Unity” has been described by one reviewers as

guaranteed to “thrill reggae lovers with the deep roots rock reggae

that made them a household name.”
